Urbancrest Missions
ABOUT
Missions, first and foremost, is an act of worship to God. It is our obedience to His command to make his Name known throughout the Nations and to give all people the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. With this in mind, Urbancrest’s goal is to help the Whole Church take the Whole Gospel to the Whole World. So, who is the Whole Church? It is every individual that has personally trusted Jesus for their salvation, including every member at Urbancrest. Our desire is that every believer understands that part of the normal Christian life is being on mission wherever they are.
We provide opportunity to become personally involved through any, or all, of Praying, Giving, Going and Sending. Our desire is for people to use the gifts, talents and abilities that God has given to them in obedience to the call He has placed on their lives. Some primary functions of the Missions Department are providing opportunities for people to join God on His mission through equipping, training and resourcing at all levels and to inspire them to join the exciting journey of being on mission.
When it comes to missions, Urbancrest has an outward, Kingdom-building focus. We work with people from all nations in various ministries, including local outreach, church plants, prisons, orphanages, leadership training, medical services, food distribution and more.
A key requirement for our partnerships is that the Gospel is shared and people are given an opportunity to respond and be discipled. Through the generous giving of Urbancrest members, we’re able to provide regular, ongoing financial support to missionary partners and fund specific projects such as Bibles, food, clothing, training, medicinal and many other needs.

Urbancrest Missions Fund
The Urbancrest Missions Fund enables Urbancrest to financially support ministry and missionary partners on a long-term basis. The Missions Fund is a Kingdom investment you make in missions that goes over and above your regular tithing. The Urbancrest Mission Team then determines how the funds are utilized for maximum Kingdom impact and Gospel advancement. 100% of the financial gifts go to support both Southern Baptist and Non-Southern Baptist ministries and missions locally, nationally and internationally.
Making Your 2025 Commitment
We invite you to prayerfully consider how God is leading you to contribute to His great work around the world.
Mission Trips
Missions Trips are organized to provide opportunities for people to join Jesus in His mission, locally, domestically and internationally. These opportunities start from the first small steps through to preaching and teaching and everything in between. This includes all physical and practical abilities.
When you go, you will have opportunity to:
- Use your God given gifts, talents and abilities to bring hope to others.
- Broaden your worldview and experience of other people, cultures and nations.
- Encourage missionaries on the field and support them in their efforts.
- Grow your own faith in and knowledge of God.
- Communicate the Gospel through word and practical help.
Â
Will you join Jesus on mission somewhere this year?
Trip dates will be updated as they are scheduled. (All trip dates are tentative and subject to change based on missionary preference, flights, cost and other unexpected factors).

Urbancrest Missions Conference
The Urbancrest Missions Conference is our annual celebration of how God is moving and working around the world through our Missions and Ministry partners. Our desire is that our Missionaries are encouraged and reinvigorated during their time with us, and we at Urbancrest are encouraged by what we hear.
For Missions Conference week, we welcome the local and global Missionaries we support. This provides opportunities to grow relationships, connect with other full-time missionaries, and help those of us “at home” to connect, learn, engage, support, pray for these Missionaries.
2025 Conference dates: March 12-16
Our overall theme for the next 3 years is “Appointed”
This year’s Missions Conference sub-theme is “Appointed as a Light.”
Acts 13:47 says: “For so the Lord has commanded us, I have appointed you as a light to the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the end of the earth.”
In this passage, Paul is addressing a crowd of Jews and Gentiles who accept his message about Jesus, and a group of Jewish leaders who do not. Paul quotes the familiar passage from Isaiah 49:6, which reminds us: God wants more than just the Jews; He wants the world. We, as His church, have been appointed to take the Gospel to nations – knowing Jesus Christ is the name above names and the only name under heaven by which we must be saved.
local missions
Our local mission ministries are focused on Lebanon and the surrounding areas. The goal is to meet the needs of the local community while sharing the gospel and making disciples.
At Urbancrest, we provide a wide variety of local ministries and opportunities for you to serve.

Prayer is vital to Urbancrest Missions. Regular ministry updates on needs and how God is at work give us the opportunity to pray specifically for families, projects, ministries and salvations. We also provide many ministry opportunities for anyone interested in discovering what missions actually is, how to use their specific gifts, or take the “next step” – whatever that might be for each individual.
